Pride Month began as a way to commemorate the Stonewall Uprising which occurred at the end of June 1969. What started as a Gay Pride Day turned into a month-long event which now includes parades, parties, workshops, concerts and more, dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the impact that gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender individuals have on our world.
