Nine PBS is proud to announce the launch of Learning League, a new initiative designed to bring all our early education work under one clear, connected, community-centered brand.
For decades, Nine PBS has delivered trusted educational programming and resources to children, educators, and families across the St. Louis region. Nine PBS Learning League builds on that legacy by making it easier than ever for the community to find, engage with, and benefit from work already making a difference in thousands of young lives.
As the most watched PBS station in the country (thanks to viewers like you), we know that learning doesn’t just happen in front of a screen. It happens at home, in classrooms, and throughout the community.
At its core, the Nine PBS Learning League exists to support the people who shape young minds every day. Educators are often overwhelmed, stretched thin, and expected to do more with less. Learning League empowers them with ready-to-use, impactful tools that reduce stress and bring more joy into the classroom.
When Adults Are Engaged, Kids Do Better
Research consistently shows that children’s learning outcomes improve when parents and teachers are actively involved. Learning League expands on that insight by creating a network of support, bringing together trusted PBS KIDS® resources with local programming and community partnerships.
The goal is simple: make learning accessible, engaging, and available to every child in the St. Louis region.
“Learning League is a place where the community can come together around trusted, high-quality resources,” says Angie Carr, Nine PBS vice president and chief impact officer. “It’s about supporting educators and caregivers so they can help children be their best selves.”
Many families know PBS KIDS, but few realize the breadth of Nine PBS’s local impact. We reached more than 27,000 children across the St. Louis region last year alone. Until now, that work has existed across multiple programs and brand names. Learning League unites it all.
“Learning League is our one unified brand,” Carr says. “Whether we’re working with educators, daycare centers, families, or community organizations, all of that early education work will now be centered around Learning League.”
This unified approach will allow Nine PBS to better connect with the community. The long-term goal is to double the number of children served and deepen outcomes for every learner.
The Logo
Each aspect of Nine PBS Learning League was designed with intention, including the logo. If you take a closer look, you might notice it looks familiar.
The Learning League logo draws its strength from both legacy and symbolism. Simple shapes unite to form a distinctive number 9, paying tribute to two iconic marks: the 1971 PBS logo by designer Herb Lubalin and the beloved 9 legacy logo.
