He sat down with Carol to discuss his mental health, what stopped him from taking his own life and why, as a young black man, he is being so transparent about his decision to seek therapy.

Carol Daniel, Senior Producer/Host

Carol Daniel joined Nine PBS in September 2023 as Senior Producer and Host. She has more than 40 years of experience in the media industry as a news anchor on KMOX Radio, as well as several years as the host of Great Day St. Louis on KMOV/Channel 4, and nearly a decade as an award-winning columnist for the St. Louis American. She’s been honored as a Living Legend by the National Association of Black Journalists–St. Louis, was recently inducted into the Lincoln University Alumni Hall of Fame, and was a 2022 inductee into the St. Louis Media Hall of Fame.
