Find out the origins of the name “Mound City,” then we visit Cinema St. Louis's QFest, and then we consider the question of what to do with kids' stuff and all those toys on What Do I Do with This?

Stream on the PBS app.

I Am St. Louis: Mound City
Long before the Gateway Arch and modern skyline, St. Louis was known as “Mound City”, home to dozens of Native American earthworks built by Mississippian cultures. Today, most are gone, but their legacy still shapes the story of the region and offers a glimpse into a rich history that predates the city itself.

Q Fest
Cinema St. Louis celebrates Pride Month with QFest, its annual LGBTQIA+ film festival each June. The festival showcases a diverse lineup of films highlighting voices and stories from across the queer community.

What Do I Do with This? Hand-Me-Downs or Throw-Me-Outs
Diving into the question of how we got so many toys and kids gear, what to do with them when they’re outgrown, and options for making more sustainable choices. This episode features segments on Swap the Playroom, Safety Stop, and Helping Hand Me Downs.

Support provided in part by the Betsy & Thomas O. Patterson Foundation, and with a generous gift from Mrs. and Mr. Theodore P. Desloge Trust, made in memory of Mrs. and Mr. Theodore P. Desloge, Jr.
