At Nine PBS, our dedicated Board of Directors is an important partner in our work, sharing our purpose and strengthening our service to the region. We are pleased to welcome four new members from the St. Louis community to our board and are thankful for their service.
Jennifer Davis, partner and group leader of trusts and estates at UB Greensfelder, works with clients ranging from business owners and multigenerational families to some of the region’s largest financial institutions. She also works with several nonprofit organizations on their planned giving programs, endowments, and administrative issues. Jennifer writes and speaks frequently on estate planning topics. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University, and her Juris Doctor degree is from Saint Louis University School of Law.
Jeff Diesen, chief financial officer at The Maschhoffs since 2014, has served the family-owned farming business for 21 years. Jeff is responsible for accounting/finance, IT, legal, hedging & risk management, M&A as well as the transportation and environmental functions for the organization. The Maschhoffs, with corporate offices in Carlyle, IL, raise three million hogs a year in a safe, sustainable manner in rural communities across seven states. Jeff has worked for Jakel, Inc., Peabody Energy, and Amway. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Hillary Anger Elfenbein is the John K. Wallace, Jr. and Ellen A. Wallace Distinguished Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. Hillary has been a business school professor at the Olin School of Washington University in St. Louis since 2008. Her research focuses on emotion in the workplace and her work has appeared in numerous journals. Before coming to St. Louis, she was on the faculty of the University of California, Berkeley, was a senior researcher at the Harvard Business School, and was a management consultant with the Monitor Group in Cambridge, MA. She holds a PhD in organizational behavior, a master’s degree in statistics, and an undergraduate degree in physics and Sanskrit, all from Harvard University.
Margaret Onken is the Chief Engagement Officer for Greater St. Louis, Inc. Margaret is responsible for the organization’s annual revenue, the design and implementation of an active investor engagement program, and special projects that drive the organization’s mission forward. Before joining GSL, Margaret was Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations at Maryville University. She also served as Executive Director of the Hawthorn Foundation, the finance director for Missouri Governor Nixon, and she has worked with Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, Saint Louis Ballet, and Great Rivers Greenway.
