Berger Inducted into Silver Circle

If you’re one of our long-time viewers, chances are you’ve seen Senior Producer Anne-Marie Berger on your television screen. Berger is one of our most impactful storytellers. If there’s a story worth telling in St. Louis, there’s a good chance she’s been involved in it.

She began her career with Nine PBS in 2000 and has been part of Living St. Louis since its inception, covering important issues such as the heroin epidemic, racism, poverty, and healthcare.

Her work in public media and service to the St. Louis community was honored by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Mid-America Chapter with an induction into its 2025 Silver Circle.

The Emmy’s Silver Circle recognizes television professionals for their 25-year-plus work in television. Nominees span all aspects of the industry and are recognized for their contributions to the field, as well as the impact their work has had on their communities. Former Nine PBS producer, fellow Living St. Louis host, and friend, Jim Kirchherr, was awarded the same distinction in 2022.

“Storytelling has been a part of my life since I was young,” says Berger, “so it just made sense that I would continue to do so after school.”

Berger attributes her love of learning and storytelling to her aunt and grandma who would share their stories of the Great Depression, war, family, and St. Louis history when she was young.

If you haven’t seen her on camera, you might have seen some of the programs she produced: Donnybrook, Power of the Pitch, Homeland: Immigration in America. She’s currently working on an upcoming program called A Tale of Two Rivers Cities: Lessons from Hurricane Katrina.

Berger has served as a trustee for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences since 2015 and has been the vice president for the Mid-America Chapter since 2001. She has received 13 Mid-America Emmys for programs such as Power of the Pitch and Living St. Louis.

We extend heartfelt congratulations to Anne-Marie on her award and are so grateful she is part of the Nine PBS family. Her achievements in front and behind the camera bring so much pride and joy to our organization.
