At Nine PBS, volunteers play an important role across all areas of our work. Whether it’s supporting Early Learning initiatives, helping with fundraising efforts, or sharing the mission of Nine PBS with the community, volunteers help us reach more people and make a bigger impact.

Their energy, kindness, and dedication bring joy to our work—and help spark the spirit of possibility throughout our region.

We welcome volunteers ages 14 and up! To get started, simply fill out the online Volunteer Application. We’ll be in touch after we receive your submission.

Volunteer Opportunities

Early Education

Assist children at events with activities, support a beloved PBS KIDS® character to interact with fans, assemble kits for children and educators at our office, or join us at the Nine PBS booth at external events around our community!

Member and Viewer Engagement

Represent Nine PBS as a volunteer ambassador by responding to member inquiries and using your communication, digital literacy, and customer service skills—along with tools like email, databases, and web platforms—to engage with our community.

Office Assistance

At the Nine PBS offices, assist us in appreciating donors by assembling large mailings and handwriting notes. Additional roles include data entry, research, and overall organizational assistance.

Special Events

Help strengthen connections between Nine PBS, our supporters, and our shared community. Opportunities involve welcoming guests and assisting with the overall event logistics. Events are typically on weekends and weekday evenings.
