Bike Bus
On three Fridays in May, Edwardsville middle and elementary school students can join group bike rides led by adults to their schools. The Bike Bus offers students a healthy, supervised alternative way of traveling to and from participating schools.

Celia
A group of black and white descendants, historians, and other parties have formed the Justice for Celia Coalition. Celia, who was repeatedly raped by her master, killed Robert Newsom in 1855 and was hanged. The group is researching her life story and working for an official exoneration or pardon for Celia.

The Sophia Project
The Sophia Project is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to transforming the lives of young women through mentorship, etiquette classes, life skills, career development, self-care, and sisterhood.

This Week in History – Liston/Ali Fight
Sonny Liston was one of the best boxers ever to come out of St. Louis but is best remembered for being knocked out by Muhammed Ali’s “Phantom Punch” in the 1965 title fight.
