UFO Town
In the 1970s, hundreds of UFO sightings were reported around the small town of Piedmont. They were investigated but never adequately explained, and the town proudly claims the title of Missouri’s UFO capital.
Sonia Manzano
She played Maria on Sesame Street for 44 years and was the first Latina character on a national television program. She talks about those years and her continued work in children’s television on the PBS program Alma’s Way.
Recycling Fair
Efforts are underway to help people properly get rid of hard to recycle objects and to better understand recycling habits and cut down on illegal dumping.
