Our own Kate Midgett, SHRM-CP, vice president and chief organizational excellence officer, was honored at St. Louis Business Journal’s Best Places to Work and HR Awards event on May 16. The HR Awards program, now in its sixth year, honors top-performing human resources executives in the St. Louis area.
Kate was recognized for overhauling the hiring process, increasing retention, and prioritizing the employee experience. In her time at Nine PBS, Kate has made employee satisfaction a top priority, going beyond professional success to prioritize well-being for Nine PBS’s 60 St. Louis-area employees. Small groups centered around LGBTQIA+, racial diversity, young professionals, and working parents meet regularly to give everyone a sense of belonging.
Kate has two master's degrees: one in human resources development from Webster University and the other in sociology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Congratulations, Kate!
