Nine PBS: So Local. So St. Louis.

Email share

Toasted ravioli, Ted Drewes, the Arch, the Cards—there’s so much that’s So St. Louis. At Nine PBS, we’ve been telling stories of our region for more than 70 years, highlighting everything unique, special, and wonderful about the place we call home and the people who live here. Take a look at the wide variety of local programs we produce right here in St. Louis.

Donnybrook

On air since 1987, Donnybrook remains one of the longest-running, locally produced public affairs programs in all of public television. Our popular public affairs program gives new meaning to the word "debate." Every week six quick-witted, highly opinionated St. Louis journalists discuss the most important and most interesting news stories from right here in our region. And this is not another dry, tame talk show. On Donnybrook, the issues are hot and so is the discussion.

Tune in for Donnybrook Thursdays at 7 pm on Nine PBS or watch after broadcast on YouTube or the PBS app.

Support for Donnybrook and Donnybrook Last Call is provided by the Betsy & Thomas Patterson Foundation and Design Aire Heating & Cooling.

Teaching in Room 9

When the COVID pandemic hit, teachers and families in our region told us they needed a way to bring the learning home. In response, Nine PBS created Teaching in Room 9. Now, five years later, the award-winning kids program continues to transform the early learning landscape as it helps young learners get ready for school. Each 30-minute episode features a familiar host, Dr. Sanders, along with lessons from some of the region’s best classroom teachers, special guests, and fun field trips. Every episode focuses on literacy and includes segments on school readiness, social-emotional learning, STEM, and movement.

Weekdays, Monday–Friday, 9:30–10 am, or anytime on YouTube and the PBS app.

Teaching in Room 9 is supported by Bank of America, Berges Family Foundation, Boeing, The Cigna Group Foundation, Dana Brown Charitable Trust, Emerson Charitable Trust, and Pershing Charitable Trust.
