World War II veteran and St. Louisan Charles Kohler recalls his experiences in the battle of Iwo Jima, where he was wounded and his brother killed in action. The short film was produced by WWII Beyond the Call, which is dedicated to documenting first-person accounts by World War II veterans. Also in this episode, an encore of an exhibit that features World War II-era editorial cartoons by the Post-Dispatch’s Pulitzer Prize winner, Daniel Fitzpatrick.
