Tornado Town Hall

Tornado Town Hall: Your Voice. Our Future.

On May 16, an EF3 tornado traveled 23 miles across the St. Louis area, killing five and injuring 38. Over 5,000 buildings were destroyed, and the damage is estimated at more than $1.6 billion.

Join Nine PBS for a powerful community town hall centering the voices of those impacted by the tornado. Experience real stories of loss, resilience, and recovery. Learn how local leaders, including Mayor Cara Spencer, have responded, and how they’re planning for the future. Together, we’ll reflect, heal, and ask: What happens when the next disaster hits?

Impacted by the tornado? We want to hear your voice. Join us for an in-person town hall event on Monday, August 18, from 6-8 pm at the O'Fallon Park Rec Complex. RSVP here.

Unable to attend the in-person event? We'd still like to hear from you. Please fill out the form below to add your voice to the conversation.

*The event will include opportunities for live audience questions and feedback. While we may be unable to address every question during the program, all submitted questions will be shared with the mayor or the appropriate city leaders to ensure every concern is heard.
