Nine PBS and 4 Hands Introduce a New Lager, Unmute Yourself

Email share

St. Louis, MO—November 11, 2021—Nine PBS is cohosting a Saturday afternoon beer release party on November 20 from 2–5 pm with 4 Hands Brewing Company in the Public Media Commons to celebrate its fifth beer collaboration.

The collaboration was planned over video conference and, with Zoom fatigue on everyone's minds, it was aptly named "Unmute Yourself." The finished product, a lager with grains of paradise and grapefruit zest, will take center stage outdoors in the Public Media Commons, next to Nine PBS, 3653 Olive St., St. Louis. The beer style and ingredients were chosen based on polls on Nine PBS’s social media platforms.

Tickets are $25 and include samples from 4 Hands, a soft twisted pretzel from Pretzel Boy’s, a bratwurst or hot dog fresh off the grill, and polka music from Dave Hylla's Good Times Band. All proceeds support Nine PBS. Heaters will be on hand in case of chilly weather; a rain date is scheduled for Sunday, November 21. Purchase tickets at ninepbs.org/events.

The inaugural collaboration between these two St. Louis institutions was Cloud 9, an American pale ale, brewed in 2016. The last collaboration in 2019 (there was no launch in 2020 because of COVID-19) honored Nine PBS’s late president and CEO, Jack Galmiche, with Last Call, based on 4 Hands’ Full Life lager.
